Kristy McKechnie

Kristy brings a wealth of knowledge working in administration and data. With over 10 years of experience with data entry and analysis, she has gained a valued role in assisting with evaluations in various fields including community services and programs. In the past, Kristy has worked in the retail purchasing and sales industry at the home office for Zellers and The Hudson’s Bay Company. Here, an integral part of her job was to collect and analyze data in order to appropriately purchase and forecast future purchases. Success in this data analysis project provided a 10% increase in sales and an increase to profits. Constant communication with all suppliers was also a key responsibility in this role.
Since 2006 Kristy has assisted Karen Hayward with her extensive work on the national evaluation of the Girls' Fund – an initiative of the Canadian Women’s Foundation. The Girls’ Fund is now in its third phase of funding, and Kristy has worked on the evaluation as a core contact for the evaluation and data administrator since its initiation.
Kristy has also worked on many smaller evaluation projects transcribing individual interviews and focus groups. Most of the work that she does involves creating and implementing data sets to assist with evaluations. She is also familiar with Survey Monkey which is used to collect and analyze data through the internet. Kristy’s varied work and life experiences have afforded her skills and abilities which contribute to the strong team that she works with now. She has an aptitude for learning and is always ready to help out with any aspect of evaluation projects.
